三保の人々にとって、エレーヌ・ジュグラリス夫人と三保の松原は、今も特別な存在として受け止められています。羽衣の松に近い羽衣ホテルでは、エレーヌ夫人の写真が長く飾られてきました。写真の中の夫人は、強いまなざしを持つ情熱的な人物として印象に残ると語られています。
エレーヌ夫人が、遠いフランスから三保の松原に深い憧れを抱いたことは、地元の人にとっても不思議であり、同時に心に残る物語となっています。芸術に関わる人々の中には、エレーヌ夫人の話や、三保に建つ碑に強く関心を持つ人も多いといいます。
三保の松原は、富士山、海、松が一体となって受け継がれてきた場所です。その空間には、長い時間の中で育まれた美しさがあり、今も地域の人々に大切にされています。

Hagoi Hotel, the Hagoromo Legend, and Hélène
For the people of Miho, Madame Hélène Juglaris and the Miho no Matsubara pine grove continue to hold a special place today. At the Hagoromo Hotel, located near the Hagoromo Pine, a photograph of Madame Hélène was displayed for many years. People who knew the photograph describe her as a passionate woman with a strong gaze.
The fact that Madame Hélène, living far away in France, felt such a deep admiration for Miho no Matsubara has remained both a mystery and a memorable story for local residents. Among artists and people involved in the arts, many are said to have taken a strong interest in Madame Hélène’s story and in the monument dedicated to her in Miho.
Miho no Matsubara is a place where Mount Fuji, the sea, and the pine groves have long been connected as one landscape. The beauty formed through that long history continues to be valued by the local community today.
Although located within the industrial area of Shimizu, Miho no Matsubara has been preserved into the present era, and this is regarded as something precious. There is a desire to pass on the beauty of this place to children one hundred years from now. In the words of the people connected to Miho, one can sense not only the memory of the Hagoromo legend and Madame Hélène, but also a wish to preserve the landscape and culture for the future.
